Bona Polish RemoverI purchased and applied Bona High Gloss Furniture Polish on my hardwood floor. It was too glossy so I called Bona Support and asked how to to remove the polish. It was suggested that I purchase the low gloss and apply it right over the high gloss. That was the biggest mistake. Once again, I decided to remove the polish. I should not have listened to Bona Support and went with my gut. I purchase one bottle of the Bona Polish Remover and applied it to my floor as instructed. Obviously, it was not enough and the removal was a nightmare. I called Bona Support again and ask for specific instructions on how to remove the floor polish. I was given different instructions than the bottle and the Bona certified representative on YouTube. I followed the Support Representative instructions; my floor is one big chalky mess. After using approximately six bottles of Bona Furniture Polish Remover (two were complimentary from Bona) my floors were a disaster. The polish remover left a residue on my floor. The residue was white and it attracted everything, even leaving your footprints on the floor. I decided to go on line and read how to remove furniture polish from hardwood floors. I read a review about how not to use Bona Polish Remover and useTrewax, instant wax remover to remove the Bona Polish Remover from your floor. What an awesome product. It takes little or no work at all and my floor is beautiful; it washed away the Bona residue. You must read the directions because it states its not for hardwood floors unless your floors have a polyurethane finish. This Product only cost $14 from Home Depot and it goes a very long, long way. I have finished my floor and I have about 3/4 of a bottle left. You have to order the product online, it's not in the store. (Remember I paid $20 a bottle for four bottles of Bona Polish Remover, $80+ tax and I only paid $14 for Trewax Instant Wax). I am very disappointed with the Bona Polish Remover and will never use this product again.

Scrubbing Pad Made the DifferenceIt was the last part of the last room to polish and I messed up. Checked all over the internet, read reviews and decided since I’d never had a problem with Bona I’d go with the recommended method AND also purchase the scrub pad. And that’s what made the difference! I followed the directions and entire floor now looks great!

Got The Job Done!Purchased the Bona Polish remover because I recently had to replace a few planks. I tried polishing the new portion but I could not get the planks to blend in with the original flooring. Ultimately, I purchased the Bona polish remover, and it got the job done. It retired the original floors to its original state, which blended perfectly with the replacement planks. Only if I would’ve thought of the polish remover sooner; it would have saved the builder money and me time of trying to match the shine with at least 3 separate installs. Thanks Bona!

Remove the Remover!Bona polish is a great product until it isn't! I have used it for years on my solid Brazilian Cherry Hardwood and until this last application, it was great.
It was flaking and scratching (only the polish, not the floor), so I called customer service for suggestions to mitigate the issue.
Removal was suggested and the process sounded reasonable and relatively straight forward. Needless to say, it is extremely messy and a lot harder than it should be. It would take twice as much product to finish the process and an floor polisher would help.
I am now hiring a Bona Certified technician to finish the job and reapply a protective coating.
